Toilet Soap Making Plant

Toilet soap manufacturing involves carrying out a process called saponification. It is  a chemical reaction between fats/oils and an alkali, followed by cooling and making soap flakes, purifying, refining, making bars/noodles, adding fragrance and colour and other additives, shaping, and packaging. The process can be carried out in batch or continuous process.

Manufacturing Process-

The soap manufacturing process starts with the saponification reaction, where caustic soda lye and other raw materials are mixed together in a plough shear mixer. The mixer is heated using addition of steam, which accelerates and ensures the completion of the saponification reaction.

At the end of the reaction other sensitive additives are added. This is done to prevent it from getting evaporated. This process has the benefit of controlling TFM percentage desired for toilet soap.

Next this raw soap is cooled and made hard flakes by passing it through Chill Drum or Triple Roll Mill. By doing this the soap grains are controlled and its properties are enhanced as well as the hardness of the flakes are also achieved.

Now this soap flakes are mixed together with colour, fragrance and other additives in a sigma mixer. Homogeneous, dense and high viscous soap is obtained after this process.

Next step is to make bars or any other particular shape of soap. This is done using Plodder or Extruder machine.

These bars made by Plodder are cut into pieces as per desired weight and sent for stamping and packing.
